Pre - School admissions:
You have to apply direct to Powys Local Authority to be allocated your space for the Pre School funding - 10 hrs per week (2 hrs a day). All children are entitled to this funding.
Pre-School funding starts the term after your child's 3rd birthday:
- 1st April and 31st August - The beginning of term on or after 1st September
- 1st September and 31st December - The beginning of term on or after 1st January
- 1st January and 31st March - The beginning of term on or after 1st April
Applications are now open for children born between 01/09/2023 - 31/08/2024. Applications close on 31st March 2026

Once your child's Pre-School place is confirmed you can then discuss with the setting lead the sessions you would like your child to attend, and how many hours required.
Mes Bach Pre School accepts:
- 20 hours childcare offer
- Payment via Tax-free childcare
- Fee paying
Mes Bach Pre School can accept children to start from their 3rd birthday however you would be fee paying as you are not entitled to any funding until the term after their 3rd birthday. This is subject to availability.
